1. Personal PPE Kit
This may seem a little silly, but we all know how dirty airplanes can be, with or without a global pandemic. I recommend keeping a small bag in your carry-on filled with essentials like hand sanitizer, disinfecting wipes, disposable face masks, rubbing alcohol wipes, etc.
You can find these on Amazon already made for you, or you can hit up your local convenient store and make your own kit. I found this one on Amazon and I think it is a great value.
2. Bamboo/Athletic Face Reusable Mask
Since wearing a mask is mandatory while traveling, you are going to want one that works well and is breathable for long flights and days spent in airports/sightseeing.
I recommend purchasing a bamboo mask like this one for hours traveling, and more of an athletic mask like this one while outside sightseeing.
3. Collapsable Water Bottle
Staying hydrated while traveling is a MUST!! Just like many of you, I love insulated water bottles, but when it comes to travel, collapsable water bottles just work so much better and are much more convenient.
Any collapsable water bottle will work, but I found this one and it is amazing!
4. Travel Toiletry Kit
Personal hygiene on a plane is not only a good idea, but it makes everyone around you happy also when you smell good. If you have any traveling coming up, I highly recommend keeping a small personal toiletry kit in your carry-on at all times. This is great for those overnight flights or long layovers when you just need to brush your teeth or apply some fresh deodorant.
Once again, you can either purchase a pre-made kit off of Amazon, or you can create your own with personal items you know you will need. Here is one I found on Amazon for a great price!
5. Hand Lotion/Cream
Hand lotion is my biggest must-have while traveling. I don’t know about you, but my hand get so dry from the air on a plane so I live off of this stuff while in the air.
Of course, any hand lotion will work but I find brands like Aveeno, Jergens, and First Aid Beauty work the best!!
6. Travel Power Strip
How many times have you gone to plug your phone in at the airport only to realize the closest one is a few seats down from you? A travel power strip is not only great to use in an airport, but is fantastic for hotels with limited outlets.
This Travel Power Strip on Amazon is amazing and I highly recommend traveling with it!
7. Travel Backpack
You cant have a carry-on without a carry-on, so a travel backpack is a MUST! There are so many to backpacks to pick from but this one is one of my all time favorites with a spot for my laptop, a usb built in charger, and water resistant material.
If you are looking for more of a girly backpack, this one is also an amazing option and a great price!
8. Travel Laundry Bag
I don’t know about you, but when packing to return home after a trip, I absolutely hate having to put my dirty clothes right next to the clean ones I never wore. Having a travel laundry bag is so handy and they do not take up hardly any space in your suitcase.
Here is one of my favorites!
9. Travel Pillow
A travel pillow is such a nice thing to have on those long flights to ensure you get a good nap before you arrive at your destination. There are so many to pick from but this is one of my favorites since you can twist it however works best!
10. Travel Jewelry Box
Tangeling your necklaces while traveling was so 2020! Keep your jewelry nice and neat with a travel jewelry box, trust me it’s worth the money and time. Here is the one I have and it works great and is small enough to fit in my carry-on!
